Doctors Not Participating In ObamaCare

Obama might be proclaiming that that millions of people are signing up for ObamaCare who never had insurance before but it is going to be difficult in some places for them to find a doctor to treat them. Many doctors in blue states are not participating in ObamaCare and now we learn that doctors in some red states have decided not to participate in ObamaCare!

New York Post in a recent article stated:

New York doctors are treating ObamaCare like the plague, a new survey reveals.

A poll conducted by the New York State Medical Society finds that 44 percent of MDs said they are not participating in the nation’s new health-care plan.

Another 33 percent say they are still not sure whether to become ObamaCare providers.

Only 23 percent of the 409 physicians queried said they are taking patients who signed up through health exchanges.

“This is so poorly designed that a lot of doctors are afraid to participate,” said Dr. Sam Unterricht, president of the 29,000-member New York State Medical Society. “There’s a lot of resistance. Doctors don’t know what they’re going to get paid.”

In addition, in New York state, only three out of four doctors who are participating in the program said they “had to participate” because of existing contractual obligations with an insurer or medical provider, not because they wanted to.

Only one in four “affirmatively” chose to sign up for the exchanges.

Nearly eight in 10 said they had not been given a fee schedule to show much they will get paid if they sign up. That is 77%!

The survey invited to New York doctors to anonymously share opinions about the new health care law, and many took time out of their busy days to vent.

“Obama Care wants to start right away, but who see all these new patients???? Not me,” e-mailed one doc.

Another said, “I plan to retire if this disaster is implemented. This is a train wreck.”

“I refuse to participate in the exchange plans! I am completely opposed to this new law,” said a third respondent.

One doctor recycled the mantra used to attack addictions: “The solution is simple: Just say no.”

One physician was so disgusted, he threatened to taken only cash patients going forward.

“I am seriously considering opting out of all insurance plans including Medicare because of ObamaCare.”

Some physicians said the pressure on insurance carriers to control costs is leading to rationed care.

“OBAMACARE is a disaster. I have already seen denial of medication, denial of referrals,” one doc said.

And they worry that stingy payments for medical services offered by insurers could put some doctors out of business and force others into retirement.

“Any doctor who accepts the exchange is just a bad businessman/woman. Pays terrible,” argued one doctor.

And these are doctors from the blue state of New York. What do you think doctors in some red states are saying about Obamacare?

Why do America’s doctors overwhelmingly (60%) disagree with the changes to U.S. health care by ObamaCare?

Most likely because America’s doctors, those actually have experience and knowledge about how American health care functions, realize how ObamaCare would dumb down its excellence, shackle doctors, and restrict access to care for patients, while transforming health care toward the centralized bureaucracies of Western Europe or Canada.

And who can forget Obama in October 2009 trying to sell ObamaCare to the public and saying, “What’s most telling is that some of the people who are most supportive of reform are the very medical professionals who know the health care system best.”

We also recall when the AMA endorsed ObamaCare at its inception, an endorsement that led many Americans to believe America’s doctors supported the dramatic changes to the U.S. health care system. ObamaCare likes using people in his props (remember the use of kids in gun control)!

The problem is that, unbeknownst to the public and the press, the AMA represents only about one fourth of the nation’s doctors.

Meanwhile, contrary to those doctors selected to legitimize ObamaCare in the staged media event (where the White House actually handed out white lab coats to generate the image of official credibility), an overwhelming 70 percent of doctors said, even back in 2011, that they disagreed with the AMA’s position on health reform, while only 13 percent agreed with it. In fact, almost half of doctors in that survey even went so far as to say that the AMA stance on ObamaCare was the factor causing them to drop AMA membership (drop of 5% each year since 2009 with a 1% increase in 2012)!

The lost of doctors who would not participate in ObamaCare was predicted over and over again during the debates and by Republicans since ObamaCare passage. Warnings about doctors not accepting any new Medicare or Medicaid patients, or dropping out of private practice altogether were continuously made before the law was passed and the American public are now realizing the fact!

REMEMBER BENGHAZI & POST THIS MESSAGE ON ALL YOUR POSTS. WE MUST NOT LET OBAMA FOOL EVERYONE INTO THINKING IT IS A PHONEY SCANDAL!
